Tony (Chris Coghill) is accused of having a sexual relationship with Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), the charge of his fiancee Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).
Bianca uncovered the sick goings on when Whitney was 15, but the young teen, now 16, admitted Tony began his advances when she was 12 years old.
Tony has been remanded in custody since December when Bianca alerted the police. He faces court this November and Whitney will be called on to give evidence.
Whether she will testify remains to be seen. She recently confessed to Lauren Branning (Madeline Duggan), who Tony had also tried to lure into an underage relationship, that she missed him.
Speaking of his comeback, actor Chris said: "I'm really pleased that I have the opportunity to come back and finish this storyline. When you are given a storyline which has had so much extensive research, it is only right that it is given closure in a realistic manner such as this.
"I hope by EastEnders tackling this sensitive issue once again, it can continue to raise awareness and show people in similar circumstances that they shouldn't be afraid to stand up in court as they will not have to face their abuser."
Executive producer Diederick Santer added: "One of the unique things about EastEnders is its ability to play stories over months and years. Chris agreeing to come back for these episodes will enable us to continue showing the long terms consequences of Tony's abuse of Whitney and - I hope - continue to do justice to the issue of child sex abuse."
The BBC received hundreds of complaints over the challenging storyline but Ofcom stated that EastEnders had not broken any rules.
Tony's new scenes will air this November.
