Desperate Housewives has never been shy of pushing the boundaries when it comes to showing a good old romp on TV.

But fans might be in for a shocker when this particular sex scene is aired.

Rumour has it that Wisteria Lane's resident grumpy old woman Karen McCluskey is set to get lucky.

The lucky fella is Mrs McCluskey's new beau Roy (Orson Bean, 81) who'll be a recurring character for the show's sixth season.

Actress Kathryn Joosten, 69, revealed how she refused to wear the nightie bosses provided, instead persuading producers to let her don a skimpy flesh-coloured body stocking for the scene. Kathryn also insisted on smoking a classy ciggie post-nookie.

"They had all these old-lady nighties hanging there," the actress told TV Guide. "I said, 'I'm not going to wear a nightie. We're supposed to be in bed getting it on!'"

She added: "He's asleep and I'm looking at him. I convinced the director to let me do one take holding a cigarette, but I'm sure they won't use it."
