With our national economy in shambles, we could all use some good news. Well, here it is. Bob Saget is returning to ABC with a new show!
Or at least he's in "talks." According to Variety, ABC is thinking about picking up Saget's sitcom Surviving Suburbia which was originally supposed to be part of MRC's Sunday night programming on The CW. The CW terminated its pact with MRC and so Suburbia, which never even hit the air, became an orphan.
The premise sounds pretty bland, so here's hoping they're leaving out some essential information. Suburbia is about "Keith and Anne Stevers and their two children, all of whose lives are upended when they get new next-door neighbors."
Are these neighbors axe-murderers? SoHo hipsters? People with peanut allergies? What's the deal? Anyway, Saget was once a god among men on ABC when he had two top ten hits at the same time in the form of Full House and America's Funniest Home Videos.
