Former 4400 star Billy Campbell (the Rocketeer) has been cast in NBC's new pilot, Lost in the '80s, says the Hollywood Reporter. Campbell will play Pete Mobley, husband and father to the family at the center of the series – Mobley owns a car dealership and has four children.
The potential series, which is written by The Wonder Years' Bob Brush, and counts Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz among its executive producers, is said to be similar in tone to Wonder Years, though looking back at life in the 1980s instead of the 1960s.
Last year, Campbell was cast in the SCI FI Channel two-hour pilot Revolution. There has been no word on that project since, and with Campbell joining Lost in the '80s, it seems likely it is probably dead.
