Forget pigging out on mince pies while we ogle EastEnders on Christmas day.

One of our telly fave's has hit us with some fantastic news.

Rowan Atkinson's making a telly comeback in Blackadder.

Kind of.

It's all part of the BBC's Christmas line-up, and one of the main attractions is a 90-minute documentary titled Blackadder Rides Again, in which Rowan gives his first in-depth interview about the character.

Rowan says: "The role was almost like an MC, with me delegating the job of entertaining to all these amazing entertainers."

Other Christmas specials will be coming from Gavin and Stacey, The Royle Family, Strictly Come Dancing, Shooting Stars, Doctor Who and of course, an explosive EastEnders storyline from the Mitchell household.

Kids' favourites Wallace & Gromit also return with Christmas viewing, and an episode called A Matter Of Loaf and Death.

Antiques Roadshow will feature His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales as a special guest and Nigella Lawson and the Hairy Bikers will be cooking up a Christmas storm.

Phew, and we thought we'd be full up on turkey and the like, but with all of this great telly viewing, will we even have time to eat?
