TV's Scrubs brought back again to life 2011/5/8 22:43:11

Medical comedy series Scrubs has been renewed for a ninth series, even with predictions it had gone to the end.

The show, which stars Zach Braff, wrapped up earlier this 12 months with an episode named "My Finale", which resolved several ongoing storylines.

The sequence had observed reduced ratings soon after shifting from NBC to rival network ABC and Braff, who plays Doctor John "JD" Dorian, announced he was leaving.

But ABC says the present situation will continue - with Braff returning for six episodes.

He is anticipated to hand the above to a new line-up, like numerous typical cast members and some of the healthcare interns introduced in the latest sequence.

In accordance to trade paper Hollywood Reporter, actress Sarah Chalke (Dr Elliot Reid) has also been approached to work on the transitional episodes.

Returning regulars consist of Donald Faison (Dr Turk), John C McGinley (Dr Cox) and Neil Flynn, whose character is recognized basically as The Janitor.

ABC has also commissioned three new comedians, such as a new vehicle for Frasier star Kelsey Grammer, who will play the lead in Hank, about a large-flying executive who finds himself out of function.
