Summer Glau Back in Action on NBC's The Cape 2010/3/15 10:24:09

Summer Glau is eyeing a speedy return to television.

According to an exclusive report from the Hollywood Reporter, the former star of 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' is headed to NBC to join the superhero drama 'The Cape.' She'll play a tough blogger out for justice in the series, which stars David Lyons as a former cop who, after getting framed, becomes a superhero to clear his name.

Glau's small-screen career has been relatively hit-or-miss in recent years. Fox pulled the plug on 'Terminator' last year after two seasons, and did the same thing with 'Dollhouse,' on which Glau appeared in a four-episode arc. She was also a regular on the short-lived 'Firefly,' which ran for just one season and starred 'Castle's' Nathan Fillion.

Glau's previous TV gigs include 'The 4400,' 'The Unit' and guest spot on 'CSI.'

Her next project, Lifetime's 'Deadly Honeymoon,' is expected to premiere this year.
