Southland brilliant Shawn Hatosy says he was captivated to play a villain on Season 5 of Dexter afterwards "playing three or four cops in a row."

"I was dying to do it," Hatosy tells "I adore accomplishing all that [cop work], but to affectionate of amplitude the anatomy a little bit and footfall alfresco that apple was exciting.

"It's so surreal," he continues. "When you anticipate about what it is that [the Dexter aggregation does] daily, with the claret and beefcake humans to tables, it's just a different blazon of employment."
