AnnaSophia Robb has landed the lead role as a teen Carrie Bradshaw in The CW’s ‘Sex and the City’ prequel pilot ‘The Carrie Diaries.’

18-year-old Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star, AnnaSophia Robb, has a large pair of designer Manolo Blahniks to fill, as the young actress is set to portray the role Sarah Jessica Parker made famous in the new CW pilot, The Carrie Diaries.

As previously reported, The Carrie Diaries, which is based on the Candace Bushnell book series, will explore the life of small-town girl Carrie Bradshaw in the ’80s, as she makes her way through high school – and all the complications that come with it – in an attempt to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer.
