Scrubs' Donald Faison has joined the new ABC comedy pilot, The Law, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Faison will star alongside Cedric the Entertainer, with the two portraying LAPD officers.

Faison's casting is another sign that the talked about continuation or spinoff of Scrubs is looking increasingly unlikely. When ABC acquired Scrubs: Season 8, it was with the knowledge that it would be the final season for Zach Braff and series creator Bill Lawrence, but there had been some talk of the show continuing in some form. However, Faison and costars Neil Flynn and Sarah Chalke have all joined new TV projects recently, so it's looking like the Season 8 finale (which was written to be a series finale) will most likely be the end.
