In Showtime's new 'Weeds' trailer, Nancy and middle son Shane are shown immediately after he kills her murderous nemesis Pilar  in the season-5 finale. Nancy goes into mama-bear mode and realizes she needs to take her three sons, find her only trustworthy ally, Andy  and get as far away from her husband, Mexican druglord/politician Esteban , as possible.

With tips from former van-dweller Uncle Andy, the Botwins decide to live off-the-grid, move to Canada, and change their names. The newly named Newman family "will succeed where the Botwins failed; they will find jobs, have hobbies. They will live a normal life."
