Community, The Office, 30 Rock
30 Rock, The Office and Community have been renewed for next season, NBC announced Friday.
"We are happy to give these early pickups to these critically acclaimed, incredibly funny comedies," said Angela Bromstad, NBC's prime-time entertainment president. "As a result, we look forward to continuing our rewarding partnership with the respective creative teams and talented show-runners for 30 Rock, The Office and Community as they all consistently deliver quality shows."
Ratings: The Office's baby delivers strong numbers
The Office, now in its sixth season, has continued to bring in strong numbers for the network in its 9/8c timeslot. The ensemble comedy is NBC's No. 1 scripted series in the 18-to-49 demo. Thursday's hourlong episode, which featured the highly anticipated birth of Jim and Pam's baby, brought in 9 million viewers and 4.7 demo rating, topping Grey's Anatomy among 18-to-49-year-olds for the first time.
30 Rock — which has won the best comedy series Emmy the last three years —has proved to be increasingly popular among viewers. After getting off to a slow start in 2006, the comedy has slowly grown to an average of 6.9 million viewers. 30 Rock's most recent episode lured in 6.1 million viewers on Feb. 11.
