BFI have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of both Just the Ticket: The British Transport Films Collection Volume Nine and The British Transport Films Collection on 1st December 2008. The latest volume in the acclaimed and best-selling DVD series (almost 60,000 copies sold to date) arrives alongside an 18-disc BTF compilation of Volumes 1 to 9.

Just the Ticket - ￡19.99 RRP - Digitally re-mastered and presented in a double-disc DVD digi-pack, Just the Ticket contains 13 films – over four hours of footage – with a particular focus on the staff training film, a genre often wrongly neglected but no less creative and accomplished by the award-winning BTF Unit. Nine of these films have not previously been released on any home video format. The set also includes a booklet with notes by BTF historian Steven Foxon who programmes this series.
