Heder Leaves Comedy Central Over Creative Differences 2010/3/31 9:51:42

Hey guys, remember Jon Heder? About ye tall, curly hair, was once the hottest young comedy star on the market back when 'Napoleon Dynamite' blew up big in 2004? Well, if you're wondering what Heder has been up to recently, here's what he's not doing: a sitcom for Comedy Central.

That's because, according to the Ausiello Files, Heder has abruptly dropped out of his latest project, an untitled Comedy Central sitcom produced by Heder's 'Blades of Glory' co-star Will Ferrell. Set to begin production within the month, the series was to star Heder as a man who moves back in with his parents. Now those plans are on hold thanks to that dreaded Hollywood disease, creative differences.

"Comedy Central, Gary Sanchez Productions and Jon Heder have mutually decided to part ways over creative differences with the character," representatives for Heder said in a prepared statement. "Jon wishes the show nothing but success, and is very grateful for the opportunity."

Just what those differences might be is unclear, but at present it seems likely that the show will proceed as planned once a replacement for Heder is located. Other stars attached to the project include 'Saturday Night Live' alums Chris Parnell and Horatio Sanz.

Heder, who recently appeared in the critically-panned box office flop 'When In Rome' after a three-year absence from theaters, is currently filming the indie 'For Ellen' alongside Paul Dano.
