Frasier Creator Helms Single Camera Laugher
The creators of Just Shoot Me and Frasier have a new project headed to ABC. An American Family is going to try to earn your laughs as a docu-style single camera series that humorously chronicles the exploits of three families.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd helmed Family "revolves around three families living in the same suburb: a traditional family comprised of a working dad, stay-at-home mom and three kids; another that includes a 60-year-old man who becomes a stepfather after marrying a Colombian single mom who is 30 years his junior; and a gay couple who have just adopted a Vietnamese baby."
By the way, Family is the brainchild of Levitan and it stemmed from a previous pilot of his called Foothooker. Okay, I know this is print, but I'm going to write that again. FOOTHOOKER! An American Family sounds like it could be promising, but perhaps not as promising as Foothooker.
