"True Blood" has just made its second major casting after Fiona Shaw. "Dexter" actress Courtney Ford who coincidentally has just completed a guest stint on another vampire series "The Vampire Diaries", is joining the HBO show as Andy's sister.
According to Deadline, Ford is to portray Portia Bellefleur, "a classic Southern beauty who runs her own law practice". She is also said to be "easy on the eyes as she is sharp in the courtroom". Ford had once done nudity on "Dexter" and she will shed her clothes again for "True Blood".
"True Blood" is in the middle of casting process for the new and major characters who will appear in season 4. Two out of five roles which are sought for have been found and it includes Shaw as a palm-reader possessed by a witch. Announcement is still pending on who will tackle the role of an Asian-American cage fighter, Queen Mab and Suzanne McKittrick.
If the fourth season follows the previous two's pattern, filming would begin at the end of December and the new season hits the screen in June next year.
