Cartoon Network has renewed Childrens Hospital for a new 14-episode season, the network announced Friday.
The medical drama satire, which pokes fun at shows like ER and Grey's Anatomy, follows a group of reckless, self-centered and hormonally charged doctors at Childrens Hospital. Created by Rob Corddry, the project originally premiered as a web series on TheWB.com in 2008 before Cartoon Network picked up the rights for Season 2 earlier this year.
Childrens Hospital welcomed new additions Malin Akerman and Henry Winkler this past year. The original cast includes Coddry, Lake Bell, Rob Huebel, Megan Mullally and Ken Marino.
The season finale is set to air in November. Production on new episodes will begin later this year.
