The creator of USA's summer smash-hit Burn Notice is headed to FOX with a new show - Jack and Dan.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, FOX has ordered 13 episodes of this new series from Nix and FOX TV Studios which revolves around "Jack, an ambitious, by-the-book cop who is partnered with Dan, a drunken, lecherous, wild-card cop who hangs onto his job only because of a heroic act years before." This show is going to be done under FtvS's international co-production model, much like Mental and Defying Gravity, with the one difference being that Jack will be filmed in the US.

"It's an action comedy cop show that follows both the cops and the criminals and the ways they come together," said Nix. "The fun is seeing how they clash, and that doesn't happen in the conventional procedural ways." Filming for Jack is set for early 2010.
