Along with the upcoming Black Panther Marvel/BET panel at this year's New York Comic Con, comes some voice casting news for the new super hero animated series.
We all know that Djimon Honsou, who would actually also be the best choice for a live action movie version if they ever made one, is the voice of Panther. In a press release today it was revealed that Kerry Washington (Fantastic Four), Alfre Woodard (My Own Worst Enemy), Carl Lumbly (Alias) and Stan "The Man" Lee himself will all have parts in the series.
Washington is set to provide the voice for Princess Shuri, Woodard will play Dondi Reece, Lumbly will play Uncle S'Yan and Stan Lee will assume the role of General Wallace.
The animated series, adapted directly from the first six issues of the Marvel comic written by Reginald Hudlin (issues #1 - #6, "Who Is The Black Panther"), will premiere in the third quarter of 2009.
