Former Alias star Michael Vartan is engaged to girlfriend Lauren Skaar, People reports.

Vartan, 41, and Skaar got engaged two weeks ago after meeting in a Whole Foods parking lot a year ago. A wedding is planned for next year, according to People.

This will be the first marriage for both. Vartan dated Alias co-star Jennifer Garner in 2003.

Vartan stars on the TNT medical drama Hawthorne, which returns for Season 2 this summer.
