Alan Ball Talks True Blood Season Three 2010/1/7 10:52:58

The Buzzy Multimedia blog posted a good interview with Alan Ball, the series creator behind HBO's hit show True Blood. In the chat, he mentions that he's just signed a deal to be showrunner through it's fourth season, meaning we've got at the very least two more season's of True Blood coming for sure.

One of the biggest differences between the books and the show is that the Lafayette was killed off in the second book, yet is still on the show, something Ball credits to the strength of actor Nelsan Ellis. "Lafayette is very small in the book, but Nelsan Ellis, the actor we cast, channeled something from somewhere that is kind of amazing. I think all the major characters I knew were going to be really, really strong and really, really compelling, but I think Nelsan is the one [who was most surprising] ?I had no idea that that would happen."
