Not all the fans of "The Hills" appear ready to move to "The City."
The premiere of MTV's "Hills" spinoff, which follows Whitney Port as she relocates to New York to take on a new job, averaged 1.6 million total viewers at 10 p.m. Monday.
That's a dropoff from the Season 4 finale of "The Hills," which averaged 2.6 million viewers in the time slot the previous week. (Both "The Hills" finale and "The City" premiere aired during holiday weeks.)
However, "The City" did build on its lead-in, the premiere of reality competition series "Bromance" starring "Hills" staple Brody Jenner. That show averaged 963,000 viewers.
