December 11, 2008 - Normally we don't pay much attention to Lifetime here at IGN, but when Sarah Chalke is involved, we notice– because come on, that gal is cool.

Variety is reporting that the Scrubs star will play the lead in the upcoming four-hour Lifetime miniseries Maneater. Based on the book by Gigi Levangie Grazer, Maneater centers on a character described by Variety as "a well-to-do social climber approaching her 32nd birthday -- midlife in Hollywood socialite years." They go on to say Chalke's character is "eagerly looking for a husband."

Given Chalke's great comic talents and the title, it seems likely (and I'm hopeful) that there's a heavy amount of humor involved in the storyline.
