The cast of Gossip Girl has began first shooting day of Season 5 Gossip Girl and the first few scenes involved Leighton Meester, who plays Blair Waldorf and her future sister-in-law in the show, French actress Roxane Mesquida. Blair is, as you previously know, set to marry Prince Louis.

This photo doesn't say a lot, in spite of earlier reports saying that Prince Louis’sister isn't really fond of Blair and she cooks up sabotage and ploys to spoil the wedding (something which Blair is so good at!). But judging from what we're seeing in this picture, the girls are hopefully trying to get along.

Leighton looks really lovely in her lemony floral summer outfit, doesn't she? And the new girl looks equally gorgeous. She does look like French Royalty and is oh-so-lovely!

According to reports, while there was no take, these Gossip Girl actresses chowed down pretzels like nobody cared. And when shooting was back on, they were picture perfect, ready for their next take.

I wonder precisely where the relaxation for the cast people are? We have two whole months until we will be able to watch what went on in this park!
